Orsha Battle anniversary marked in Belarus
September 8 is unofficially marked as the Day of Belarusian Military Glory. On September 8, 1514 the Grand Duchy of Lithuania defeated the Moscow kingdom forces near the Belarusian town of Orsha. Festivities took place on Saturday near the village of Hatskauschyna where the traditional music and poetry festival titled "Orsha Battle'2008" was held.
