OSCE Secretary General praises Belarus for invitation of observers

Belarus was very open when inviting observers, - stated the OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut during the press-conference in Moscow on November 15.
According to RIA "Novosti", he also added he didn't remember that OSCE had ever sent less than 400 observers to Belarus. Brichambaut said he wished all the countries worked like this.

The OSCE Secretary General underlined that they had received an invitation from Belarus on the next day after the election date had been announced.

BelaPAN reminds that long-term ODIHR OSCE observers started arriving in Belarus. The first group of observers, including the head of the ODIHR mission Ambassador Geert Hinrich Ahrens, arrived in Minsk on November 12.
