Peaceful solidarity action to take place today in Minsk
The democratic activist Franak Viachorka suggested to conduct a peaceful solidarity action near the detention center at Akrestsina street in Minsk, in his blog. The action starts at 6 p.m.
"A lot of my friends got to Akrestsina detention center, — writes Franak Viachorka. — Some of them will meet the New Year there. Their only guilt is their desire for free election. The detined need our solidarity as never before. We all need solidarity and the feeling of unitedness. Unfortunately they won't admit us to court trials. The best thing we can do is to show our friends who are now imprisoned that their sufferings are not in vain.
I've been in prison myself, I know how important it is to know there are people outside who love you.Let us show our friends we are waiting for them!
Take flash-lights, candles, lighters - let us make a holiday for our friends, and for our candidates as well. As we really have this holiday, we gained victory. A peaceful solidarity action.
