Picket in front of Estonian embassy in Minsk

A picket against the shifting of the Soviet war memorial in Tallinn is taking place in front of the Estonian Embassy in Minsk.

Around 100 people, mostly youth and elderly, are taking part in the picket, according to a correspondent of the Interfax news agency.

The picket participants have unfolded the Soviet red flags and the Belarusian state flags. They are also holding the portraits of Stalin, Lenin as well as the anti-Estonian posters.

The posters say: "Estonian Fascism is EU's shame", "Suppression of the Russian population will be paid back for", " I do not buy Estonian goods, I am against fascism".

The picket organizers said the Minsk City Hall approved the pickets to take place every day through May 10.
