Pinsk bombards United Nations Organization with complaints

One more Pinsk opposition member has sent a complaint to the UN human rights committee.
Kanstantsіn Chuvak, an activist of the movement “For Freedom” complained about the actions of policemen who detained him on the eve of the Day of Will last year. There was a standard procedure - the activist was accused of using bad language and sentenced to three days of detention according to the evidence of the police.

Kanstantsіn Chuvak stresses that it was not for the first time and that the authorities were persecuting people for political views like that. According to activists, several complaints of the kind are being prepared in Pinsk.

The police conducted preventive detentions of 4 people on the eve of the Day of Will in 2007. They were sentenced to different terms of detention. Seven other Pinskers were recommended not to take part in meetings of the opposition.

Let us remind you that the head of Pinsk affiliate of BNF Alyaksandr Ramanovich also sent a complaint to the UN on March 11.
