Pinsk frontier guards detain Ukrainians trying to remove cranberries from Belarus
Soldiers of Pinsk Border detachment detained two Ukrainian citizens on February 4. The incident took place near the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the territory of Merlinski firing range (Brest Region). Two cyclists tried to transport about 100 kilos of cranberries. BelaPAN refers to the frontier guards and reports that it has been the first incident of the kind this year, however, it was predictable. Ukrainian citizens collected cranberries near the firing range and hid a lot of them in the marshes. As a rule, they send children to collect berries illegally and adults remove cranberries later.
