Police and internal troops start working in reinforced regime
Police and internal troops will start working in the reinforced regime since December 13. This has been informed to BELTA by the representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs' administration for information and public relations.
Introduction of the reinforced regime is connected with the presidential election. It is planned that the police will work this way till December 21. The law-enforcement agencies will help the election commissions in the framework of their competence. Situational-operative groups will be created, and investigation-operational groups will be reinforced.
Apart from that, the heads of territorial administrations of internal affairs and the traffic police have been authorised to grant safety during the meetings between the presidential candidates and the voters. Also, election commissions will organize a 24/7 guard of ballots since the moment of their receipt, and safe transportation of ballots after counting of votes.
