Police commandos beat, arrest 11 people in Salihorsk

Special police officers today beat heavily and arrested 11 people who came to support Ivan Shyla, a Malady Front activist tried on charges of acting on behalf of an unregistered organization. The people were shouting "Freedom to Ivan Shyla!" and "Long Live Belarus!".
The European Radio for Belarus reached youth activist Franak Viachorka who was on a police bus. He said the following over the phone::

“I am presently at a police bus. We are 11 people here. During the trial of Ivan Shyla, police agents surrounded those who could not make it to the court's room. They used force to push us into the bus.

There are five girls among the detainees. They were heavily beaten. The blood was shed. They would throw them on the floor and kick kidneys. We are now waiting near the building of the local police department for the police to copy our passport details."

According to Franak Viachorka, four riot police soldiers and an officer named Boyka are in the bus monitoring him.
