Police detain 100 people bound for a rock festival in Ukraine

Two buses carrying dozens of people to the rock festival "The Right To Be Free" in the Ukrainian city of Lutsk were last night detained by the Belarusian police. Both uniformed police officers and plainclothes agents would approach passengers at the parking near the Academy of Sciences in Minsk and record their faces on a video.

The two buses managed to depart from Minsk and head towards the Belarus-Ukrainian border.

At 2300 the traffic police stopped one of the buses near the city of Dziarzhynsk. People were taken to a local police station. Police officers spent hours to copy the passport details of the detained passengers.

The people were later put on another bus that took them back to Minsk, gurded by riot police troops, reports moladz.org.

The other bus was detained near Niasvizh. The passengers ended up in a police custody in Stoubtsy. They had their passport details copied and were later released.

Several dozens youngsters decided to travel to Ukraine by railroad.
