Police has two versions over Minsk blast
Investigators have remained with two versions in the case of the blast during the Independence Day celebrations on July 4, 2008 in Minsk. According to the first version, the explosives could be set off by a single criminal for unclear motives. The second version suggests that a clandestine organization can operate in Belarus, Interior Minister Uladzimir Navumau told Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belarusi.
Earlier, investigators probed several versions, including a terror attack, an attempt on the life of the country's leadership and hooliganism.
Navumau also noted that the bomb in Minsk had no analogues in the world, The foreign experts that helped Belarusians to investigate the blast had never seen anything similar.
The minister also stated that thanks to a massive campaign to collects finger prints from citizens, the police managed to resolve dozens of serious crimes.
