Police in Minsk seized from an
opposition activist 2,500 invitations for a traditional
march that will mark ancestors remembrance day, Dzyady, on November 2. The
activist, Anton Koypish of the youth wing of the Belarusian Popular Front (BPF),
was taken to a police station for questioning, said the BPF press office. Earlier
this week, Minsk
authorities gave official permission for the march.
