Police in Vitsebsk support national dictation
In Vitsebsk, local opposition activist Barys Khamayda was writing a national dictation in the city center on Sunday morning. Khamayda, known as a prominent distributor of the independent press, was writing the dictation on a small table, using a tape recorder. Near the table, he put a stand which said "The First National Dictation".
When he wass writing the dictation, police officers came to him twice but would not interfere. On the opposite, a Police Colonel offered the oppositionist his protection and said that Barys Khamayda could call the police department if anyone would try to hurt him during the action.
