Polish frontier guards will not use sanctions for expired visas

Polish customs officers will not use sanctions against drivers that have to spend days waiting near the Eastern border and whose visas have expired because of it. The press secretary of the Polish Customs Service Yatsek Sonta has informed the Belarusian service of the Polish Radio for Abroad about it.
According to him, frontier guars “understand that citizens who appeared in such a difficult and unexpected situation against their will cannot be made responsible for events taking place at the border”.
