Presidential election appointed for March 2, 2008 in Russia

The Council of the Russian Federation has appointed the presidential election for March 2, 2008.
The decision of the upper chamber of the Parliament will come into power after it is officially published in “Rossiiskaya Gazeta”. The procedure of choosing candidates for the presidential election will start 5 days after the publication.

Let us remind you that Garri Kasparov, Egor Yavlinskii, Gennadi Zyuganov and Vladimir Zhrinovski have announced their intention to take part in the election. The registration of presidential candidates will end on January 16, 2008.
