Prosecution of members of “Malady Front” to be continued in Polatsk

The trial of a youth activist Kasya Salauyova will start in Polatsk city court on Thursday, March 27. Her colleague Alyaksey Yanusheuski informed “Nasha Niva” about it. Kasya was expelled from Polatsk University on January 23. She was a second year student of the historical- philological faculty when she was accused of membership in an unregistered organization “Malady Front” according to art. 193-2 of the Criminal Code. The 20-year-old girl is the head of Polatsk affiliate of the organization.

Let us remind you that nine members of “Malady Front” including their leader Zmitser Dashkevich have already stood trial according to this article. Dashkevich got the most severe punishment in November 2006 - 1.5 years of imprisonment in a colony.

“The process of five” took place at the end of May 2007 – Zmitser Hvedaruk, Aleh Korban, Barys Haretski, Nasta Palazhanka and Alyaksei Yanusheuski (in absentia) stood trial then. They were fined for huge sums.

Regional MF activists Nasta Azarka, Ivan Shyla and Yaraslau Hryshchenya stood trials in September.
