Prosecutor's office spots violations at Minsk Spadchyna

Minsk City's Prosecutor Office found violations of the laws that deal with the protection of historic and cultural heritage in the operation of Minsk Spadchyna. This company operates at overr 100 historic heritage sites. For instance, it has been restoring several building in the historic part of Minsk. Euroradio reported earlier that Minsk Spadchyna destroyed house No 24 on Revalyutsyinaya street in Minsk in violation of the approved documents. Afterwards, Mikhail Zhykh, an engineer from the Minsk Spadchyna complained at journalists to the prosecutor's office. But the inspection by the prosecutor's office confirmed that the mechanical dismantling of the building was carried out without the permission of the scientific director and without the approval by the Ministry of Culture of Belarus.

Officials that admitted violations have been subjected to disciplinary punishment.
