Protest action “Free Belarus” takes place in New York
The Belarusian “Free Theatre”, Amnesty International and the Public Theater conducted a joint protest action “Free Belarus” in New York on January 19. Representatives of New York theatrical community took part in the action. The action participants shouted out “Live, Belarus!” in Belarusian and English at the corner of 67th Street and Lexington Avenue. The demonstrators were holding portraits of political prisoners and posters urging to release them, informs Radio Liberty.
