Putin and Bush fail to agree on anti-missile defense

The Russian President Vladimir Putin and the US President George Bush have adopted a declaration “On strategic limits of cooperation between Russia and America” during negotiations in Sochi. According to Putin’s statement made at a press-conference dedicated to the results of the negotiations, the declaration states the non-agreement of Russia with the fact of allocation of a US anti-missile defense system in Czechia and Poland.

Moreover, the declaration states the discrepancy in the basic methods of strategic offensive armaments. Putin admitted that the declaration had not made any break-through in the existing problems but it denoted the ways of solving them by future leaders of Russia and the USA.
