Rector of Mahileu higher educational institution: There is no “iron curtain” for students

The rector of A.Kulyashou Mahileu State University told ERB that students’ travels abroad would only be taken into account by the university if they take place during the study hours. Let us remind you that the university students’ website announced that the administration of  the university had issued an order concerning students’ and lecturers’  planned trips abroad (except for business trips) – they should inform about them at least 2 weeks before the departure.

That is how the rector Valyantsin Bandarenka commented on it: “It is up to students to decide where to go and what to do during summer vacations. It should be controlled by parents. But we are responsible for every student during study hours”.

According to Bandarenka, there is no problem about students going abroad on they days off. They should just come back on time and attend all classes.
