Barys Hamaida detained in Vitsebsk
The famous opposition member has probably found himself in the middle of a city cleanup before “Slavonic Bazaar”.
Hamaida was detained near the so-called “blue house” - he usually distributes the independent press there. Radio Liberty informs that he has been brought to Railway District Department of the Interior according to a police order.
Policeman stopped Hamaida in the street to check his bags yesterday. They apologized to the opposition member after the search and let him off. By the way, Hamaida is always being detained during “Slavonic Bazaars”.
