Belarus is not in EU's list of priorities

"Eastern Partnership is aimed at realization of practical steps to make countries closer to the European Union. If, as in Belarus' case, countries do not want to get closer to the EU, the program, naturally, does not work", – Head of Poland's MFA Radoslaw Sikorski has said in an interview to Radio Liberty on the occasion of Poland's presidency in the EU, which starts on July 1.

However, he has said there is a possibility of cooperation with regard to visa regime simplification.

Among the European Union's priorities for the time of Poland's presidency, Sikorski has mentioned economical revival and strengthening of Europe's military potential, support of democracy in the Middle East and in North Africa, getting closer to Moldova, Ukraine and Russia.

Belarusian issue has not been mentioned in this list.
