Belarusian Foreign Office alarmed at arms trade accusation
The official Minsk refutes arms trade violating UN’s embargo.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is alarmed at UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s statement who accused Belarus of illegal attack helicopter trade with Côte d'Ivoire.
Press sectary of the Foreign Office Andrei Savihyn has informed BelaPAN about it. “Belarus has always been very responsible when it comes to fulfilling all the demands and decisions of the UN Security Council. There is an effective system of arms export contol in Belarus”, - claimed Savinyh.
The Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee has not commented on Ban Ki-moon’s statement yet.
Belarus used to supply weapons and military equipment to Côte d'Ivoire a lot before the introduction of the UN’s embargo.
