Charge made against Brest HR defender Raman Kislyak
The reason for that was the picket which he did not hold.
Policemen detained Kislyak in the Cosmonauts' Boulevard in Brest on October 16 when he was conducting a mono-rally in support of head of the human rights center "Viasna" Ales Byalyatski. Kislyak was delivered to the Lenin district police department of Brest, and the policemen executed a charge against him for conducting a non-sanctioned event. Kislyak spent the night in the pre-trial detention center, and they delivered him to the Lenin district court of Brest the next morning.
The judge returned the materials of the administrative case to the police claiming there were some shortcomings. He did not start the trial.
A new charge was made against Kislyak on October 25. This document says that Raman Kislyak held an illegal picket, BelaPAN reports.
The trial has been appointed on October 28.
