Egypt becomes more expensive by 3 million Br because of dollar rate
Belarusians turned out to be not ready to buy passes to health resorts for roubles.
Euroradio's correspondent has asked how much a tour to Egypt will be. A travel company suggested a 12-days tour for two people in a 5-stars hotel in Sharm-el-Sheikh. The price for it is 1650 USD. However, they warned that it would be preferable to pay in euros or dollars. It is possible to pay in roubles, but it creates some difficulties for a client.
"We accept payments in euros and dollars, we have a currency licence. If you wish to pay in roubles, the rate will be 5000 Br for a dollar at this moment".
1650 dollars with 5 000 roubles rate make 8 million 250 thousand roubles. In the beginning of the year this some was equal to 2 660 dollars. Two people could fly to Egypt twice for such a sum! Egypt has become more expensive by more than 3 million roubles, if paying in Br.
Travel company "Alpha-Tour" says that the dollar rate depends on the operator who suggests a tour.
"5000, some take 5500 roubles for a dollar. Euro is estimated as 7500 or 7900 roubles. Some companies do not accept roubles for certain tours. They also cannot accept dollars as they have no currency licence. You can only pay directly abroad through a bank account".
