Members of Union of Poles to stand trials today
They are accused of participation in a non-sanctioned action.
Let us remind you, on June 1 there was a picket in defense of the Polish school No. 36 where it is planned to form the Russian language groups, near the office of Hrodna regional executive committee. The authorities did not give permit for the action and the police detained 21 people. One of them, Ihar Bantsar, got 13 days of detention. Other detainees expected their trials to take place on June 4 but the trials were postponed.
According to the information provided by Radio Liberty, today there will be trials against editor of the newspaper "Glos znad Nemna" Grazyna Szalkiewicz, operator Julia Kalyada, civil activist Edward Dmukhouski and two members of the Union of Poles, unrecognized by the authorities.
