Metro blast hearing to be open
The Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anatol Kulyashou, has informed about it during an online conference on the website
of the Belarusian State Broadcasting Company.
"I think that the trial will be open and you will be able to watch and assess everything even if you are not a specialist. You will be able to make your own conclusion whether it is right or wrong”, - noted Anatol Kulyashou, informs a BelTA reporter.
According to Kulyashou, the evidence collected during the investigation of the criminal case started after the explosion on April 11 is being studied at the moment.
According to the Minister, the police have found the real people connected with the explosion at “October” metro station. “They made the blasting assembly, - said the Minister. – The President has ordered to conduct a high quality impartial investigation of the criminal case as soon as possible to allow the court to pronounce its final decision. Being the Minister of Internal Affairs, I have no doubt that they are those people”.
Kulyashou has noted that “there will be people doubting that we have punished the right people even after the trial”.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs has already conducted three checks and all the papers have been sent to the leader of the investigation group dealing with this case – senior legal assistant Ivan Shved. The legal treatment will be provided there”, - said the Minister.
Anatol Kulyashou does not exclude that the metro police did not take the necessary measures to prevent the terrorist act.
Almost 90% of the people obliged to go through the fingerprinting procedure have done it. “We will have to give account about the fulfilled tasks to the President by May 1”, - said the Minister. According to Kulyashou, fingerprinting is still required even though the people suspected of the blast have been found. “The law will also be fulfilled in the future”, - stressed the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
