Minsk left without sugar
There is practically no sugar left in Minsk. The head of the Chief department of the consumer market administration, Valyantsin Baidak, has claimed it.
Minskers bought 10 times more sugar than usual at the weekend.
Baidak: "We have been receiving 350 tons of sugar per day recently. Nevertheless, we almost ran out of sugar in the morning. People are buying all the available sugar as soon as it is up for sale. We have taken some measures and we are taking more. Sugar plants have sent goods wagons to us. We should be able to satisfy this rush demand within 3 or 4 days”.
