Prayer of solidarity with victims of political repressions in Homel
Homel activists of the movement "For Freedom!" and the "Young Belarus" have organized a prayer of solidarity.
The leader of the "For Freedom!" regional branch Piotr Kuzniatsou has informed to BelaPAN that the youngsters got together in the St. Peter's and Paul's Cathedral in the evening on January 19 and asked the Holy Mother of Christ to help all the victims of political repressions in Belarus.
"Everything was quiet although it was obvious we were being watched. Surely, the representatives of the force structures knew about the action, they were waiting to see whether we would take out portraits or any other attributes of a mass event in order to bring us to trial", — stated Kuzniatsou.
According to him, "the situation in the country is such that it is no point complaining about illegality, either to courts, or public prosecutor's offices. Only to the God".
