September 27 - World Tourism Day
This holiday has been marked since 1980. Its goal - promotion of tourism, explanation of its input into cultural development and understanding between nations.
Tourists gather in many big cities all around the world and conduct interesting festivals and holidays. School students go along the specially prepared routes together with their teachers and take an outdoor recreation.
Belarus is considered attractive for eco-tourists from all over the world. Forest massives which are the biggest in Europe remain here. There are more than 11 thousand lakes and 20 thousands of rivers and springs in the country. The most famous eco-touristic object is Belavezhskaya Pushcha. Besides, this year, according to official statistics, about 2 million tourists visited Belarus for the first half a year.
