Ukraine ready to act as intermediatory between Belarus and Europe
The representatives of the Ukraine's leading party "Party of Regions" have stated an opinion, that isolation of Belarus "gives no positive results".
Ukraine is ready to act as intermediatory between Belarus and the European Parliament for normalization of their relationship, the Supreme Council Speaker Uladzimir Litvin has said onTuesday during the session of the Ukraine-Poland Interparliamentary Assembly.
"We suggested that Ukraine should act as an intermediatory in the relations between Belarus and the European Parliament, as we understand that the way of isolation is the easiest one, and it gives no results to anyone", - the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN quotes Litvin's words.
He also added that he understood Europe's position with regard to the process of presidential and parliamentary elections in Belarus, but he hoped the initiative of the Ukrainian side would be supported.
