Residents of Shklou complain to Prosecutor General against parliament vice speaker
Valery Ivanov, a deputy chairman of the House of Representatives at the National Assembly of Belarus, has failed to respond to appeals of his 600 voters for over four months. The residents of the constituency in Shklou sent a letter to their deputy on November 2, asking to draw his attention to the deterioration of the living conditions in the area. People also asked to raise the issue of restoring benefits for medical services for low-income households.
The voters now have appealed to the Prosecutor General. Ryhor Kastusyou, one of the organizers, says that they wrote to the Prosecutor General, saying that Ivanov violates laws as regards responding to his voters. He would always promise this voters that he would react to their oral and written requests. However, he has not responded to 600 people.
