Revenue authorities in Belarus eye posh travellers

The tax and revenue authorities in Belarus are set to inspect tourists who like to travel to expensive exotic destination. They will be interested where the money comes from to the Belarusians to travel to Bahams and the resorts of South America and South-Eastern Asia.
Vasil Kamianko, a deputy tax and revenue minister, said that "a person should fast for a long time in order to save for such an expensive trip", if he or she does not have huge revenues. Tax officials also eye the owners of posh houses and cars.

"The external wealth features will interest a tax inspector", Kamianko said in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belarusi.
