The Right piquet Russian Embassy in Minsk
The picket took place near the Russian Embassy in Minsk. Its motto was “No to Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus!”.
The picket was organized by activists of the Belarusian national-democratic centre, the Belarusian party of Freedom and the Belarusian autonomous Orthodox Church.
About a dozen people holding white-red-white flags made a line in front of the Russian Embassy. They were holding posters with inscriptions “No to Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus!”, “Down with Russian nuclear occupation of Belarus!”, “Freedom to the Belarusian autonomous Orthodox Church” and others.
The piquet lasted for several minutes. Is participants from different regions of Belarus kept shouting: “Independence!”. The police wrote down the inscriptions on the transparencies but did not detain anyone.
