Roman Catholics, Greek Catholics and Protestants celebrate Christmas

Church services in Belarusian and Polish languages took place in Belarus on the night on December 25.

Before the holiday the Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, the Minsk and Mahileu Methropolitan, addressed to the faithful with a pastor message. He stated in it in particular that if a person does not base his life on the ground of the truth that means he lives in vain.

According to the Methropolitan, such life can look normal, even good, from the outside. "However, sooner or later this mistake will reveal itself in a tragedy in a person's destiny or the destiny of the whole societies", — underlined in the message.

Its author states that denial from God and neglecting his commandments leads to God's retribution. "A person's unwillingness to accept the Law of God shows in inadequate lifestyle which threatens a person's dignity. We can observe this very often in the modern world", — said in the message, as reported by  BelaPAN.
