Russia does not pay Belarus for pipeline land

The local authorities in the Braslau, Dokshytsy, Miyory, Polatsk, Senna and Orsha districts of the Vitsebsk region have not received nearly Br2 billion from the Russian company South West Transnefteproduct for using the pipeline land. The Russians rented the land for free due to the red tape in the Belarusian administrations.

The State Control Committee of Belarus said the Braslau district council alone missed as much money as it spent for social projects in 2008.
