The Russian Armed Forces have delivered nuclear warheads to field storage sites in Belarus. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, this was done as part of nuclear exercises.

“As part of the nuclear forces exercise, nuclear warheads have been delivered to field storage sites in the deployment area of a missile brigade in the Republic of Belarus. Personnel of the missile unit of the Republic of Belarus are carrying out training and combat tasks involving the receipt of special munitions for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, equipping missile carriers with them, and covertly moving to a designated area to prepare for launches,” the ministry said.

It should be recalled that from May 19 to 21, Russia is conducting exercises on the preparation and use of nuclear forces. Similar drills are also taking place in Belarus.

The Belarusian Defense Ministry had previously stated that, together with the Russians, it planned to practice the delivery of nuclear warheads and their preparation for use.
