Russian customs given 'oral instruction' to let Belarus milk go
The Russian customs in Smolensk received an oral instruction to let dairy products (apart from milk powder) from Belarus proceed to the Russian territory, regional customs officials told the Russian news agency Interfax. The customs officers said they were expected a written circular, but have been allowing Belarus-made dairy products (apart from milk powder) to cross the border in the previous volumes.
At the same time, Belarus' first deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee, Uladzimir Goshyn, stated that he had no information from his Russian colleagues about a free shipment of Belarus' dairy products. He noted that the Russian customs officials would inform Belarus if any official circulars are issued.
