Russian diplomat runs over elk and dies

A high-ranking official of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has died in a car accident in Talachyn District, Vitsebsk Province. The incident occurred on June 27 but it was not officially informed about it anywhere, reports “Daily”.

The Russian diplomat was riding a Mazda on the Belarusian territory. He ran over an elk that entered the road not far from Ryzhychy village, Talachynn District, at about midnight. The car was severely damaged and the diplomat was taken to hospital. Doctors tried to save his life, but couldn’t.

The injured man died on July 6 and the Russian Embassy was informed about it.
