Russian Embassy asks to release Vladimir Belunin

The Russian Embassy to Belarus has sent a second diplomatic note to the Belarusian authorities asking to change the restrictive practice applied to a Russian citizen Vladimir Belunin detained in Minsk. The Russian Embassy does not connect his detention with other arrests in connection with the explosion that took place on July 4.
It is known that Belunin is 21 years old. He is a student of one of Minsk universities. The guy’s parents arrived in Belarus from Karachay-Cherkessia. They claim he is seriously ill. At first the police conducted a search in their flat on July 4 and Vladimir Belunin was detained 5 days later.

“Interfax” reports that the Russian consul is going to meet the detained Russian citizen today.
