Russian philologists organize collection of signatures in Fiaduta's defense

Russian philologists organized collection of signatures under the appeal in defense of their colleague - the literature historian Aliaksandr Fiaduta, detained in Minsk on the night after the presidential election.  Signatures are collected in the social networks in the Internet. The quantity of signees increases every day, informs "Narodnaya Volya".

They appeal to the President and government of Russia asking them to influence the Belarusian authorities and "explain to them, that without the recognition of the opposition's legality and without the dialogue with it... not only the Western countries, but Russia as well would not speak about any democracy in Belarus".

Culture activists and scientists from Russia, Lithuania, Estonia, Italy, the USA, and Belarus have already signed under this appeal.

Fiaduta's colleagues decided not to address to Aliaksandr Lukashenka, demonstratively.
