Russian poacher detained in northern Belarus
A Russian poacher, who was taking timber out of Belarus, was detained in the Vitsebsk region. Local forestry officials teamed up with the police to set up a trap for poachers when they found felled trees in the woods. Eventually, they spotted two tractors that came from the Russian border.
When three poachers took off running, one of them was arrested. He is a resident of the Russian city of Smolensk. He is in police custody, facing criminal charges of poaching.
