Rymasheuski set to collect 100,000 signatures by night
Vital Rymasheuski seeks to collect 100,000 signatures by the end of October 27. Talking to reporters in Brest on Tuesday, Rymasheuski noted his nomination group had already gathered 95,000 signatures, reports Belapan.
When asked about the single pro-democracy candidate, Rymasheuski said that all potential contenders, apart from one man, had declared their readiness to support the single candidate from the opposition. Yet, time was to show how truly they were prepared for that, he said.
Rymasheuski stressed he was backing the idea of the single candidate. He reckons that this way the opposition would be stronger to compete with Lukashenka. According to Rymasheuski, major pro-democracy candidates agreed to meet immediately after having submitted the lists of signatures and to discuss a possible single candidate as well as appropriate forms of collaboration.
