Samsonau wins bronze medal at table tennis Super Cup
Belarusian Uladzimir Samsonau has won a bronze medal at the European table tennis Super Cup. The competitions took place in Saint Petersburg, informs BelTA. Our compatriot (6th place in the world rankings) easily defatted Greek Kalinikos Kreanga (17th position in the rankings) in the competition for the third place — 4:1 (11:9, 14:12, 6:11, 11:5, 11:7). A German tennis player Tim Ball (4) who defeated Samsonau in the semi-final also easily defeated another representative of Germany Dmitrii Ovcharov (14) in the final — 4:0 (11:4, 11:7, 11:9, 11:7).
The winner’s budget increased by $50 thousand, the finalist made twice less and the bronze medal winner made $15 thousand.
