Sannikau: Authorities have lost hope to normalize relations with Moscow

The leader of a civil campaign “European Belarus” Andrei Sannikau has expressed an opinion about the real reason for appointing the elections for the end of the year in an interview with “Daily”. According to him, the date means that Moscow will not try to reach an agreement with Lukashenka.  If there had been any chances to normalize relations between the states, the elections would have been appointed for February, thinks Sannikau. It would have been possible to sign advantageous agreements about gas, oil and so on by February. At the moment there is no chance to do it and the authorities have lost any hope to normalize relations with Moscow, notes the presidential contender.
