SAR citizen who attacked a bank stands trial in Baranavichy
Baranavichy District and City Court began considering a criminal case started against a 40-year-old citizen of the South-African Republic on January 11. He is accused according to several articles of the Criminal Code – theft, torturing, murder threats, robbery and hooliganism.
BelaPAN reports that, according to investigators, a foreigner in a black hood with slits entered the affiliate of “Belarusbank” in Parkavaya Street in Baranavichy on June 10, 2009. He threatened employees with a knife and an object looking like a gun and demanded to give him money and open the safe. When they refused to do it, he beat them. He was detained in Minsk on June 12.
