Second search in Atroshchankau's apartment completed
The apartment of the ex-presidential candidate Andrej Sannikau's press-secretary Aliaksandr Atroshchankau has been searched for the second time on January 18. The first search took place on December 25, informs BelaPAN. Atroshchankau is now in the KGB detention center. He was detained on December 20 for participation in the mass protest action which took place the day before in Minsk. Atroshchankau is accused of mass disturbances in the framework of the corresponding criminal case.
His wife Darya Korsak has informed that the search was conducted by the KGB officers. It lasted from 8.30 till 11.00 approximately. They confiscated a cell phone which belonged to Darya Korsak's father. two modems, a laptop and a computer's hard drive. To Darya's opinion, the KGB men tried to find something which could be used against Aliaksandr in court. However, she said their efforts were in vain as "the case is absolutely fabricated".
Darya Korsak has heard nothing from her husband since his arrest: there have been no letters, and the lawyer has not been provided access to him.
