Security agencies to control parliamentarians
The Attorney General will not be the only person allowed to start criminal cases against deputies of the House of Representatives and members of the Republican Council of the National Assembly. BelTA informs that the corresponding draft has been sent to the profile parliamentary committee. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, KGB and the Financial Investigation Department of the State Control Committee will get the right to start criminal cases against parliamentarians. However, they will have to ask the National Assembly for permission first.
