Several Belarusian objects to be included in World Heritage list
Several more Belarusian objects can be added to UNESCO World Heritage list in 2011, informed the Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus Viktar Kurash.
It is suggested to include the Saviour-Eufrassinnia Church and Sophia Cathedral in Polatsk in the list, as this is a material incarnation of spiritual heritage of Eufrasinnia Polatskaya, and also the wooden architecture of Palesse, and the August Channel, said Kurash.
The issue of including the Dnieper basin in the cultural lanscape list is also under discussion. Moreover, they are preparing a dossier on fortification buildings of Brest Fortress. Barys and Hleb Church in Hrodna also has great chance to get in the UNESCO list, informs BELTA.
