Several trials of opposition members to start in Minsk today
New trials will start in Maskouski District Court of Minsk today. The trial of a Vitsebsk entrepreneur Syarhei Parsuikevich accused of having beaten a policeman will start in the afternoon. Parsyukevich may be imprisoned for 6 years. The trial of a politician Pavel Sevyarynets accused of violation of the procedure of collection of signatures started at 10 a.m. He is likely to be fined.
The court decision is supposed to be announced to 10 participants of January protest actions in Central District Court of Minsk at 11 a.m. Let us remind you that the prosecutor demanded to imprison Andrei Kim for 2 years and to sentence Alyaksei Bondar and Artsyom Dubski to 2 years in a penal labour camp. He also demanded to sentence the others to 2.5 years of penal labour without sending them to a camp.
