Siarhej Martynau to speak at UNO summit in New York

The Minister of Foreign Affairs will speak about Belarus' position with regard to the most important international issues on September 21, informed the Press-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrej Savinykh on September 16. Belarus is now the Vice-President (Switzerland's the President) of the 65th session of the UNO General Assembly, which officially opened on September 14 in New York.  The basic agenda of this session is complex estimation of progress in achievement of development aims of the millenium. These aims were set 10 years ago and concern radical shortage of poverty, illiteracy, dangerous diseases.

Siarhej Martynau will participate in the minister meeting of countries from a group of members on struggle with human trafficking, initiated by Belarus, as well as in the meeting of representatives of countries-members of CSTO. He will also meet with some international delegations, representatives of regional organizations, UNO secretariat.
